Joy
My second daughter, Amelia, is at this wonderful age (it has really struck me that - so far - each phase of my girls' lives have been "the best age") when everything is funny. Today was her 15 month check-up, and at the doctor's office everything made her giggle - the toy house in the waiting room, the sound of the paper on the exam table, the pictures of baby animals on the wall, me tickling her, running away from me and me catching her. Even moments after getting her shots, she was wrinkling her nose and grinning when I did it back to her. Tonight in the bathtub, she was pouring water on Sophia's head (luckily she was actually dumping the water out before it reached Sophia's head, so that only drops were falling on Sophia - otherwise Sophia might have freaked out) and it make her laugh so hard - over and over and over and over again. There is no way you can be in a room with this kid for five minute and not laugh. How lucky am I to have a little spring of happiness right here in my house?I am so thankful that she is my daily reminder to laugh. Other hysterically funny things this week included... adding bunny ears to her princess costume and saying "pop pop" (translation: hop hop)
sweeping...
doing laundry...
swinging...
