Dessert Justification

I have a weight loss tip, but my disclaimer is that I've only been doing it for a couple of days and I haven't actually lost weight doing this ;)

I often eat seconds (and thirds!) when something tastes yummy, even when I know I'm full. I am bad about finishing off my kids' dinners, and nabbing a few extra bites while cleaning up dinner. So a few nights ago I bought some of my favorite candy - Happy Cola (no fat! ha!) - and set it on the counter between my dining room and kitchen. As soon as I'm full, I pop one in my mouth. The good thing is that once I have the sweet taste in my mouth, I'm not tempted to eat that last little piece of fish in the pan (because it's hardly worth saving, blah blah). And, it's YUM!

I am totally there with you on the second and third helpings thing. Maybe if we didn't cook such good food we could lose the extra weight?? ;)
