Tea cakes

This is what Sophia and I made when she wanted to bake cookies but we had no sugar in the house...

8 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 box white cake mix
confectioners' sugar

Cream together cream cheese and butter. Add egg and vanilla and mix. Add cake mix at mix until well blended. Dust your hands in confectioners' sugar, roll dough into 1 inch balls, then roll in confectioner's sugar. Bake cookies on greased cookie sheet for 12-13 minutes. Wait a minute or two before removing cookies to cooling racks (if they make it that far... notice my bowl is pretty empty - I froze 1/2 the dough and we ate most of the rest of the little cakes before they even got cooled!)

Those cookies look delicious! When my kitchen is up and going again I believe that will be one of my new recipes to try out. I have been getting quite the collection of "need to try" recipes, over the last 8 months! :) Have a great day!
