Today was on of those days when I've been overcome with love for this girl. I feel so blessed to be her mommy.
Tonight after bath time, she said "Mommy, take a picture of my face."
Look at those eyes - I could spend years looking into them!
Sophia lives to please us. She takes pride in being my "biggest helper." I was feeling a little under the weather today (very happily queasy and exhausted!) and so Sophia spent the day fetching me water, fixing her sister sippy cups of milk, helping Amelia go potty, and playing beautifully by herself. The girls actually spent close to an hour playing blocks, peacefully and cooperatively. At one point she was teaching Amelia letters, and I overheard her say "good try! you're so smart!"
We haven't told her yet about the new baby; but just like she has almost every day for over a year, she prayed today for a new baby brother or sister. And I just knew, she's going to be the best big sister in the world - again!
This was her trying to change Amelia's diaper... Sophia was 20 months old, Amelia was 1 month old

Those eyes...some of the prettiest I've ever seen. You are blessed friend.
I couldn't pull up the video...but those eyes really are beautiful...like a sea of blue! So sweet...
Her eyes are beautiful! She is such a big girl and a great helper. She will be so super excited when you finally tell them about the little peanut. Who knows, maybe it will be a boy and it will change the entire dynamics of your girly house.
How kind of her to tell her sister that she is so smart. She clearly is praised constantly--you're such a good Mom.
Adorable girls. My oldest is such a helper as well, I love it. She tries to change the diaper on the baby too.
