Baby Henry Update

I've been at doctors' offices all morning and need to catch up on work work, so this will be brief. I spent another night in L&D getting terbutaline to stop contractions last night. I had my OB appointment today, and got an ultrasound to check on the little guy. Turns out, he's not so little! He has a chubby, round tummy and very chubby, round cheeks. She estimated his weight at over 6 lbs. He was so cute, I bawled my eyes out. Here are a couple of pictures - the first a profile, the second with him looking at the "camera"

Everything looked healthy and great! I'm still on bed rest, though, and my doctor will keep stopping labor until I'm past 37 weeks - that's 2.5 more weeks. It seems to close, and yet so far away. I want Henry to stay put until 38 weeks, I don't mind waiting 3, 4, 5, 6+ weeks to meet him if it means he'll be healthy and ready to be born... but physically I am exhausted. I feel like I have already been through labor several times, and I'm ready for the contractions to be OVER.

In other news, Amelia had her 3 year old appointment this morning and she's also doing great. Right on track with everything, healthy, and in the 50th percentile for height and the 75th percentile for weight. I love my round-bellied babies :)

So glad everything looks good with baby Henry. I LOVE that name!

I hope he decides to stay put until 38 weeks to ease your mind, but I'm also praising God that he's still there with all the contractions you've had. YEAH!

Thanks for the update!

I am so glad that everything seems to be going so well. I was definitely concerned for you for a while and I am happy to hear the little stinker is around 6lbs! Way to go mama!

Amelia's impromptu birthday party looked lovely. I can only imagine the types of parties you through when you aren't on bed rest, I bet they are out of control!

I am happy all is well and just keep cooking that little man!

Oh yes he's completely adorable! Thinking of you and hoping your body cooperates with what your mind wants...and Henry...my favorite boy's name at this moment.
