I used to be so strict about everyone sleeping in their own beds. Baby Number Three, Summer Vacation, Life in General all got in the way. Lately, my best plans about bedtime have gone out the window.
Henry and Sophia fell asleep like this the other night, while Davis and I sat next to them and watched soccer.
We moved them to their own beds before we went to bed, but by the end of the night they both ended up with us. Half the time lately I wake up with some random combination of my family members in bed with me, and no memory of how they got there.
And hair drama! Sophia chopped off Amelia's hair on one side. It's the same thing she did to herself. When Sophia was 3, she got ahold of some scissors and chopped her own hair. Usually I cut their hair myself, but I decided to take her in to get a professional to fix it. BAD idea - they "fixed" it by giving her a bowl haircut! Yikes.
Well, on Saturday Sophia did the same thing to her poor sister. So instead of another bowl, I decided to just cut Amelia's hair straight across and give her a little pageboy cut. I think it looks cute! This isn't a very good picture of it, though - that kid is HARD to photograph!
We're pretty strict about limiting TV access... except yesterday and most of today, the girls piled every blanket and pillow they could find into the living room, put on pajamas and just laid there watching TV. I kind of think, along with hiking up Indian mounds in the rain, spending a whole day on a pile of blankets in your pajamas watching TV is part of Summer Vacation too.
Maybe when the World Cup is over and we all start getting some sleep again, I'll be a good mom again.

Sounds just fine to me! You're a mama who loves her little ones...you are just right! =)
Love to you...
Being a little flexible over the summer sounds perfectly fine to me. I think it would drive me nuts waking up with random family members in bed--I guess I wont know until I have little ones. :) I love that pic of them on the couch sleeping, so sweet!
