The past week has been so... full! My mom arrived Wednesday night, Friday was the girls' last day of school, my brother and his (adorable pregnant) wife arrived Friday afternoon (in fact I ran from dropping the girls off, to a presentation I had to give at work, to picking him up at the airport), we all went out to dinner Friday night, my mother in law and her sister came into town Saturday, then my dad and his wife and kids came in later and we all had a barbecue (interrupted by a sudden downpour) at our house, then Henry's baptism was Sunday morning, we had a brunch with about 30 guests at our house immediately after, then I took the kids to see the ducks march say good bye to my mom at the Peabody, then my mom and brother and sister in law went out to dinner and to watch the Riverfest fireworks, then Monday morning we went to my dad's hotel to swim, then picked up my brother and sister in law to go out to lunch, then took them to the airport, then my dad and family came over for dinner.
I have so many pictures to share and stories to tell, especially about Henry's special day on Sunday and all of the amazing friends and family members who we were honored to have with us. But today was also my first day back at work in the office (until 6pm) and Henry's 4 month doctor's appointment during the lunch hour, and then tonight I promised the girls we would make our summer bucket list, which we did, and which I'll also share soon.
So, all of that will have to wait, because I'm on a serious schedule to get re-caught up on the laundry and house cleaning in time for Sophia's birthday party on Saturday AND get a little sleep.
In the meantime, I'm very excited to announce the winner of the Memorial Day Summer Reading Giveaway -

I have a lot. But...I love Curious George. The very first one. I love the whole series, though.

Carlotta, I'll be in touch :)
Thank you all for sharing your favorite children's books with me. There were some of my favorites in there as well as some that I'll have to check out. Thank you!! If you missed the giveaway, I'd still love to hear what children's books you love! Our summer list includes finishing three new chapter books as well as a trip to the library.
