This is what it looks like at our house...
I finished up my Valentines
Alli the cat rested on her favorite perch (she has warmed up to our crazy family. Actually, she's joined in the madness - I've never seen a cat run as fast as this cat chasing a bouncy ball across the living room!)
Henry napped in our bed (I was right there with him for the first hour of his nap!)
The girls watched a movie under wool blankets (Amelia tells people that she's getting this old camping blanket of his when her Daddy dies, ha ha I have no idea where that came from!)
Davis fixed the gutters - some of them couldn't handle the ice.
Sophia had a play date, and they played family... with a real baby.
I love these girls, they have been friends since they were 3 years old in Miss Dona's class, and now they are in the same Kindergarten class.
Amelia got a new Disney Princess glasses case in exchange for promising to keep her glasses on all day - she did great (yay!)
Why do my kids always dismember our poor old couch?
Everyone was super happy right after bath time. Super happy AND yummy smelling! Saturday nights are the nights that they get scrubbed extra well behind the ears, fingernails get trimmed, etc. Makes me happy.
When they were all in bed, Davis and I spent some quality time together, then I finished my menu plan and shopping list (easy since we'll be out of town half the week!)
while listening to my mellow playlist
and drinking green tea.
I love Saturdays. They are our refuge; after hectic, busy, crazy week days, weekends are for slowing down and letting the things that really matter catch up with us.
