Big News, No Pictures

*Sophia is three days away from finishing first grade.  Her reading has taken off like crazy - she sat down and read 4 chapters of the first Magic Tree House book on my Kindle Sunday. 

*Sophia started piano this week. 

*Amelia is reading.  She taught herself, with a little help from Sophia.

*Amelia is done with dance... after her big recital this Thursday.

*Henry is potty trained.  2 years and 3 months old.  4 days not a single accident.

*Henry's talking has finally taken off.  He is the funniest, most expressive kid.  This morning he came running into the bathroom as I was showering, smacked himself on the head and said "oh no! OUCH baby!" I said "Henry, did you hit Wyatt?" And Henry looked at me with the most shocked, heartbroken expression and said "oh whyyyyy Henry?"  

*Wyatt is crawling. And pulling up.  And back to sleeping with me because we haven't gotten around to lowering the crib.

*Wyatt is still the. happiest. baby. on. earth.  Even when he's screaming (which is rare, but like if he's really hungry) if you smile at him, he'll stop screaming to smile at you, and then go back to screaming.

*Davis and I celebrated 11 years of marriage on Saturday.  We went to a good friend's surprise 40th birthday party, with plans to go out alone afterwards, but had so much fun with our friends we just ended up staying at the hotel bar until midnight instead. 

*We took our house off the market.  And decided not to do an addition.  Or anything for that matter.  We are lazy/indecisive/overwhelmed like that. We'll think about it next year.  That's what we always say.

*My dad is moving to Morocco next month. I am heartbroken and trying not to think about it.  We are going to visit him in Louisiana this weekend so I can watch my sister graduate from high school, take away all my dad's cookbooks, and try not to think about them moving away.

*Summer has arrived in Arkansas. We made our list of summer goals. We started swim lessons. We booked our condo on the beach. We bought a case of sunscreen. We had a barbecue with friends and sprinklers and lots of citronella candles.
