First I wanted to update about my friend's son Sloan... he has moved to inpatient rehab and is working hard on his physical therapy. He is on steroids, which are making him cranky, but has started eating real food and was happy about that today. Please continue to pray for his recovery.
**Update** Praise** Just brought food over and found out Sloan is coming home on Friday! He's doing great and will continue with rehab outpatient. He still cannot use his legs, and is struggling with the steroids he is on, so still needs our prayers, but how awesome that he will get to be home soon!
Last week at the Ultimate Blog Party, I had so much fun getting to know new bloggy friends. I still have so many more to check out, and several that I visited briefly and want to go back and get to know better. But in the meantime, I wanted to share just a sampling of some of the great blogs I discovered - check them out! (I'm going to link to their UBP post, because it's often a great intro, but be sure to click on their headers to see their latest posts!)
Kingdom Twindom - this mom has TWO sets of twins and she JUST had another baby, and I was hooked when I read her post about fitting seven people into two bedrooms. If you've spent some time on my blog, you'll know how I feel about small houses (remember?) and making the most of what we've got. I'm also a sucker for those last couple of weeks of pregnancy - the anticipation and excitement is just contagious - and I've been happily following along (especially happy that I'm not the one being stretched to the ends of uterine capacity) waiting for her latest bundle of joy.
Abigail had one of the best UBP posts I encountered. She just so happens to be the daughter of one of my favorite bloggers. She is just cool. AND she loves the number 32, and a little known (in fact I don't think anyone knows this) fact about me is that I too love the number 32, and have ever since my mother was 32 and I remember thinking what a great age that must be... I'll find out soon whether it really is ;)
Speaking of cool, check out Summer's blog - she has the sweetest little blog and she's, well, just plain adorable! Her cheerfulness is contagious and her recent intruder post had me holding my breath :)
Mike's blog, Something About Parenting, is hysterical and I love it because I have a stay at home dad for a husband (who Mike told me not to refer to as SAHD - because taking care of kids is fun not sad ;) This post had me giggling, plus his drawings and photographs are totally awesome!
There are in fact hundreds of new bloggers I got to "meet" last week, and I am still catching up with many of them. This was so much fun!

I left a comment on your hospital ideas post and then realized you may not read that far back, so am posting again. Had to tell you my sons name is Porter :)
I understand. . .I wanted to name a girl Hadley, but had two boys after Ainsley. If I don't have another daughter I'll have to have a girl dog so I can use the name :)
Thanks for the link!:)
I agree. Blogs you mentioned are great finds, especially the fourth one. :)
OK. I'm being arrogant here. The fourth blog is my blog.
Seriously, thanks for the mention. I'm humbled.
Mike
